TTS Liftec OY have together with Sandvik and Ovako in Sweden developed a new generation of Straddle Carrier for industrial use.. The prototype have now been evaluated by both customers and is now in full production at Ovako in Hällefors, Sweden.
Straddle carrier Nbr 2 will be deliverd to Sandvik in November and nbr 3 delivered to Ovako in Hällefors in mid 2007. Another 4 units are planned for production during 2007.
Both customers have long experience of using this type of straddle carriers and sees the transport system superior to all other internal transport systems on the market.
The Sc30 is a low built hydrostatic driven straddle carrier with bottom lift system for handling long material such as pipes bars bolt etc. Sc30 has a lifting capacity of 30 ton at a driving speed of 30km/h in both directions.
