TTS has signed a contract with Gothenburg-based shipping company TranLumi Line for 150 trailer trestles

The IPSI clip on trailer (COT) type trestle will speed cargo movement in port, serving the route from Ajos/Oulo in northern Finland to Travemunde in Germany.
Existing customers for this type of trestle include Transfennica in Finland and Colorline in Norway. The COT trestles have also been deployed in the terminal handling system for Foodtankers in Karlshamm, Sweden.
TTS has already supplied the cargo access equipment for Rederi AB Transatlantic’s three newbuildings, Transpaper, Transpulp and Transtimber, which will operate this northern Finnish line.
On 15 December TransPulp made her first call at Gothenburg’s RoRo terminal. The 15,000 tdw, 191 metre load container/RoRo vessel is the second in a series of three to be deployed by TransLumi Line on its northern Finland to Gothenburg service. The third vessel is to be delivered in February, 2007.
The TransLumi vessels fetch their base cargo of Stora Enso export paper at Kemi and Oulu in northern Finland. These volumes are carried in Stora Enso Container Units (weather-protected cassettes) to Gothenburg's RoRo terminal for shipment to the UK and continental Europe. In addition, the vessels carry third-party standard containers. With the three-vessel fleet complete, three round-trips per week will be offered.
